Meet the Team

Get acquainted with our experienced and highly qualified team

We operate a keyperson system. Each member of staff is especially responsible for and close to a small number of children, so each child receives plenty of adult time and attention. This can help settling into the group much easier. The keyperson maintains a Learning Journal for each child in their group which parents will see each term.

All staff have passed enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Physical play every day

Physical play is recognised as being very important for your child’s development, that’s why we have regular play time on the play frame, go out for walks etc to local parks and explore our local community. Our staff are also trained in Funky Feet fundamental movement training and children’s Yoga, both are fabulous for engaging children and increasing their physical abilities. We are ideally situated, and have a wealth of places to visit close to our location, including, parks and green spaces.

Healthy home cooked food

During the day we offer a variety of healthy snacks and a home cooked two course lunch. We encourage children to try lots of different foods and to get involved with the preparation where suitable. This encourages children to be adventurous with their choices and to gain valuable skills ready for the start of school. We also have a ‘snack of the week’ where we will discuss the more unusual foods that we have on offer and allow the children to use all of their senses to touch, smell and taste new foods. We charge just £3.50 per day for meals and snacks.

Funded hours available

We are Ofsted registered so we accept the governments funded childcare placements. Please check your entitlements on the government website.

As a small business we keep our costs as low as we can whilst keeping our setting running as brilliantly as we can, we charge £6.50 per hour for childcare, we accept government funded hours and only charge £3.50 per day for meals and snacks.

Local community

We work closely with other organisations in our local area and frequently visit our local primary school, residential home, train station and dentist to name but a few. We are very fortunate to have lots of lovely parks and open areas on our doorstep.
